How do I buy a ticket, 10-journey ticket or day ticket via the website or app?

These tickets are linked to your account, so you can find and activate them either in the app or on the website.

Some cities or municipalities offer these tickets for free or with a discount. Click here for a list. You can only buy these tickets via the website for the time being. Activation can be done on either the website or the app.

How to buy your ticket via our website

  1. Log in or create a De Lijn account.
  2. In your account, select ‘Products’ and then ‘Tickets’.
  3. Click on ‘Buy tickets’. Check your surname and first name when you make your first purchase. Make sure that they are exactly as shown on your identity card. If not, your ticket will not be valid.
  4. Choose the type of ticket you need.
  5. Go to ‘Payment’ and choose Bancontact, Payconiq, Visa or Mastercard.
  6. If your payment is successful, you will be returned to the ticket screen in your account. Your new tickets will be shown under ‘Purchased’. Only activate them when you need them.

How to buy a ticket via our app

  1. Download the app using the QR code, or go to App Store or Google Play Store.
    Click on ‘Products > Tickets’.

  2. Choose the type of ticket you need.
  3. Log in or create a De Lijn account.
  4. Tap on ‘Buy’ and check your surname and first name when you make your first purchase. Make sure that they are exactly as shown on your identity card. If not, your ticket will not be valid.
  5. Go to ‘Payment’ and choose Bancontact, Payconiq, Visa or Mastercard.
  6. If your payment is successful, you will be returned to the ticket screen in your account. Your new tickets will be shown under ‘Purchased’. Only activate them when you need them.

TIP

When you are paying for your tickets, a new page on the website or a pop-up screen should open. Certain cookies can sometimes block the purchase. It is therefore best to delete all cookies to ensure that this does not happen.


If you cannot be issued with a ticket for technical reasons you will receive an error message. The payment process will then stop and your ticket will not be charged for. This error message is not a valid ticket. Try to complete the purchase again. If it still doesn’t work, you will need to buy an sms-ticket or another valid ticket.

Always activate your ticket before boarding and show it to the driver when you board. If you don’t activate an ticket until you are on the vehicle, you risk being fined for travelling without a ticket.
