Do I need to scan my MOBIB card?

As a subscriber, you must register every boarding and transfer*. There are 2 ways to do this, choose whichever is easiest for you:

By scanning/registering your boarding and transfers, De Lijn knows how many people are on a bus or tram at a given time. This way we can better align our service with the demand.

If you do not scan or register, you risk a fine.

* Except for persons exempted from scanning the MOBIB card.
