Real-time information about your bus or tram can be found in our app, website, and at the stop.
Real-time information in the app and on the website
- Real-time via the website: Route planner, Stops, Lines.
- Real-time via the app: iOS, Android (choose: Plan=route planner / Search=stop and line information)
Route planner: choose a departure point and destination > In a route plan you see the scheduled timetable with real-time information. Trips that are canceled are not shown.
Stop and line information: enter the desired stop or line > The stop/line shows the scheduled timetable, real-time information, and canceled trips. The latter are shown as 'Does not run'.
Real-time information at the stop
At De Lijn stops, posters are displayed with information about the different ways to request stop information (QR code, SMS, telephone). Depending on the language area of the stop, the poster is in French or Dutch.
QR code
Posters with QR codes are displayed at our stops. If you scan the code with your smartphone, you immediately see when your next bus or tram will arrive. Detours and disruptions are also shown.
- You need a smartphone with an internet connection.
- Open your smartphone's camera or use the scanner in the De Lijn app. You can find it under the 'Search' tab (in the search bar) and under the 'More' tab (Scan QR code at the stop).
- Hold the camera over the QR code on the poster.
- Confirm that you want to open the page.
- Immediately see when the next bus or tram is arriving.
SMS
- Send the following message to 3111: Stop <your stop number> (€ 0.25 operator charge).
- You will receive an SMS with the next arriving buses or trams.
OR
- Send the following message to 3111: Stop <your stop number> <line number> (€ 0.25 operator charge).
- You will receive the next arriving buses or trams of the specific line.
By phone
- Call 015 40 80 00.
- Enter your stop number.
- You will hear the next arrivals at the stop and receive information about ongoing detours.
- You can also request the arrivals of a specific line at the stop or choose to speak with an employee.
Digital real-time info board
Some larger stops have a digital real-time info board. This board shows when which buses or trams are expected at the stop. Canceled trips are shown as 'Does not run'.
