This is possible, but we don’t recommend it because you can’t indicate where you are travelling to when validating. It is therefore better to buy a second card (MOBIB basic) in such cases. You can then always validate the most suitable ticket for your trip.

The following principles apply when validating these products on the same MOBIB card:

• Combination of Brupass ticket and Brupass XL ticket: the Brupass XL ticket is always validated in this case, regardless of the journey.
• Combination of Brupass travel pass and Brupass XL ticket: the travel pass is always validated in this case. If you travel from the urban to the suburban zone, you are in breach of the regulations and you risk a fine.
• Combination of Brupass travel pass and Brupass ticket: the travel pass is always validated in this case.
• Combination of Brupass XL travel pass and Brupass XL ticket: the travel pass is always validated in this case.
