In certain cases, inspectors may check your identity, even though they do not have the same powers as the police. For example, during a traveler check: you must present or hand over your proof of identity. Auditors may review, copy or withhold this document.

This is determined in *Art. 44quater of the Decree of 31 July 1990 regarding the externally independent agency Flemish Transport Company - De Lijn, established under public law, and in *Art. 13.11 of the law of 10 April 1990 regulating private and special security.
