Here is how to track your vehicle in real time. This function is only available in the De Lijn app.
- Go to the stop page you want: tap ‘search’ in the menu at the bottom and enter your stop.
- On the stop page (Leuven Wijnpers on the example below), tap the arrival time of a line (we use 395 Hoeilaart - Leuven here).
- You will now see the journey page below. You can see your vehicle’s current location on the map at the top of the journey page. Below the map you can see the corresponding real-time arrival times at the next stops. In this example, the ‘+3’ in red means that this service is running 3 minutes later than the normal timetable. 11.12 is therefore the real-time arrival time. If the service is running on time, ‘on time’ will be displayed.
- The real-time location is automatically updated every 15 seconds.
- On the map you will always see the next stop with the status ‘arriving’, and the same under the corresponding stop name below (with a blue dot).
- You will only see the vehicle’s location if it has real-time reception. Otherwise you will see one of these messages (example from other lines):
