There are currently two types of active ticket in circulation. The differences between them are shown below.
An activated ticket purchased from De Lijn from 3 November 2021 shows the following information:
- the time limit until which the ticket is valid
- on the detail page:
- a QR code that the inspector can use to check whether you have a valid ticket
- the surname and first name for the account from which you purchased your ticket. These must be exactly as shown on your identity card
- the time of activation
- the use by date
- the price
From 3 November 2021, tickets will be linked to your account. Lijn inspectors will therefore check these points. If there's a technical problem, they may also ask for your surname and first name in order to look up your ticket in our system.
An activated ticket purchased from De Lijn before 3 November 2021 shows the following information:
- the day code which the Lijn inspectors use to check the ticket. This is a combination of letters and numbers
- the time limit until which the ticket is valid
- the price
These tickets are linked to your mobile phone number. The Lijn inspectors will therefore check these points. If there's a technical problem, they may also ask for your mobile phone number in order to look up your ticket in our system.
