How can we help you?

Terug

Why does it seem that my contactless payment has been charged twice?

For each ride throughout the day, we reserve 2.5 euros on your bank account.

A reservation is not the same as paying for your ticket.

We transfer the cost of your rides made overnight to your bank. The payment is then settled via your bank, which can take a few days.

This means that sometimes you will see both a reservation, and a payment on your bank account. The amount of the reservation is not a payment and will be released at a later moment.

Sometimes a reservation can hang for 5 days or more. We have no control over this, the bank has to release the reservation(s).

Your reservation may look different depending on your bank:

  • You see a reservation worth 2.5 euro
  • The available balance is temporarily reduced by 2.5 euro
  • It looks like 2.5 euro is being debited from your account. This amount, minus the sum of your trips to be paid, appears to be refunded the following day(s)
  • You do not see a reservation

The payment of your ticket:

  • Debit card? It can take up to 3 working days for the amount of your ride(s) to go out of your account. The exact time varies from bank to bank.
  • Credit card? You will find the cost of your ride(s) on your monthly statement. The amount of your transfer will be credited along with your other payments.
  • Prepaid card? The amount goes off your credit after 1 or more days. The exact time varies from bank to bank.

Can I check my contactless payments?

Why do we reserve this amount?

We do this to reduce the risk that a ride would not be paid. After all, we can only charge rides at the end of the day. And because we do not know how much someone travels throughout the day, 2.5 euros are reserved for each ride. We do this again every day. At the end of the day, the reservation is reversed.
